Panos Tsiros – “3.14” Album Presentation

Panos Tsiros will present his new album “3.14” live on Friday, March 20.

“3.14” is an album about the cycle of life — about joy and sorrow, about everything that feels like an ending which, when turned around, becomes a beginning. Like the number that gives the album its title, its songs move in a circular orbit of return, transformation, and continuity.

The lyrics are co-written with Mimi Tataki.

The evening of March 20 is an open invitation to share all the moments that shaped this album and to sing songs from the Greek discography that resonate in dialogue with “3.14.”

Guest artists on stage:
Iro
Vasilis Prodromou
Anastasia Chatziapostolidou

Biography

Panos Tsiros, originally from Lavrio, is a graduate of the Department of Music Technology and Acoustics Engineering at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. He has studied guitar, piano, and voice.

He began writing songs in his teenage years, following a steady path of inner exploration and personal expression. Over many years of live performances on both major and intimate music stages, he has collaborated with numerous emerging and established artists, most recently with Iro and Anastasia Moutsatsou. He stood out with his appearance in the final of the young singer-songwriter competition at Taratsa tou Foivou Delivoria.

The album “3.14” marks his most mature artistic statement to date, distilling years of creation and personal evolution.

BUILDING PERFORMANCE PRACTICES VOL.2

Building Performance Practices vol.2
àktapha ensemble

On February 5 the final concert of the Building Performance Practices seminar by the àktapha ensemble will take place.

The concert features eight world premieres of new works, developed through an intensive period of shared creation, listening, and experimentation. Within the framework of the seminar, composers worked in close collaboration with the musicians of àktapha, approaching composition as a living performative practice and a collective process.

Under the artistic guidance of composer Ioannis Angelakis, Building Performance Practices functioned as a space of encounter, exchange, and trust, where ideas were tested and transformed through musical practice. The final concert marks the first public presentation of this process and invites the audience to take part in the experience of contemporary music creation.

The following works will be presented:

STRAIGHT FROM THE BOTTOM music fest 2026
“It’s music to get a brain seizure with…”

One day | One concert | 2 bands |
Experimental sounds from every corner of the world

On February 6, Straight From The Bottom returns and transforms Athens into a living sonic landscape.
A festival that refuses to compromise, pulsates with raw energy, and aims to create an explosion of authentic musical experience.

This year, the festival settles in the industrial multi-space PLYFA, Building 7A, a venue perfectly aligned with its DIY and improvisational spirit.

Concert lineup (in order of appearance):

Hippomaniacs

Hippomaniacs were formed in 2018 and since then have been among the most active Greek acts, with numerous dynamic live performances all over Greece.

Drawing core influences from jazz, blues, 70s funk, and African music, blended with intense psychedelic elements, they have created a distinctive sonic mix based on powerful grooves, improvisation, and a unique atmospheric approach.
This fusion is reflected in their original compositions featured on their debut EP, while they are currently preparing their first full-length album.

Hippomaniacs lineup:
Giannis Kassetas – Tenor & baritone saxophone
Panos Giotis Svobotnik – Electric guitar, FX, synths
Giorgos Kostopoulos – Double bass, electric bass
Leandros Fratnik – Drums

The Halay Lamba

The Halay Lamba were formed in 2014 in Patras.

Their music blends rhythms and melodies from Eastern cultures with beat and groove elements drawn from more contemporary musical movements. The band’s core idea is to create music that reflects the diverse listening backgrounds of its members and their many modern influences.
Oud melodies from the Arab world and Turkey are framed by rich harmonic loops and effects from the electric bass. Traditional rhythmic patterns are transformed into new rhythmic forms, creating a fresh tribal breakbeat sonic environment.

In April 2015, they recorded their debut album, while simultaneously performing at music venues and festivals in various cities in Greece and abroad. Key milestones for the band include their participation in Houdetsi Festival 2016, collaborations with Ross Daly, and two international tours.

They have also participated in events such as:
Kalamata Street Festival – Greece
Houdetsi Festival – Greece
Symviosis Festival – Mytilene, Greece
Xarkis Festival Lofou – Cyprus
Torino Jazz Night – Turin, Italy
Tatonka Festival Fessevillers – France
Fenefest – Lake Doxa, Greece
Gianni Jazz Festival – Greece

In January 2019, the band released their second album.

Halay Lamba lineup:

Thanasis Voutsas – “KRAK”

Guest: Alexandra Gkountoulia

Thanasis Voutsas is introduced to the public for the first time as a songwriter, presenting live his new self-titled album “KRAK” on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at PLYFA.
This concert marks both the occasion and the starting point of his first acoustic musical work: a cycle of nine songs born from an urgent need for inner expression and personal storytelling.

“KRAK” is a musical work shaped with the most faithful tools: experimentation, imagination, dedication, and long nights of labor. The songs are the distillation of Thanasis Voutsas’ many years of experience in singing. We will hear him perform songs of the soul—songs born in that small fissure, the inner crack, the emotional “breaking point” that accompanies both the minor and major moments of life.

A special place in the album “KRAK” is held by the song “Silence 8′46″”, a tribute to diversity and a powerful protest against racism and violence. The song is interpreted by the “Priestess” of Greek song, Maria Farantouri.

The album is produced by Nikos Zoudiaris, who has also overseen several of the arrangements. Equally significant is the participation of outstanding musicians who generously offered their artistry, enriching the imaginative world of the songs.

The live presentation of “KRAK” at PLYFA is an invitation to an acoustic, inward journey—a meeting with the cracks, silences, and truths that unite us. Alongside the new material, the evening will also feature a personal selection of beloved songs from the Greek repertoire that we have all loved and quietly sung along to.
