Building Performance Practices vol.2
àktapha ensemble
On February 5 the final concert of the Building Performance Practices seminar by the àktapha ensemble will take place.
The concert features eight world premieres of new works, developed through an intensive period of shared creation, listening, and experimentation. Within the framework of the seminar, composers worked in close collaboration with the musicians of àktapha, approaching composition as a living performative practice and a collective process.
Under the artistic guidance of composer Ioannis Angelakis, Building Performance Practices functioned as a space of encounter, exchange, and trust, where ideas were tested and transformed through musical practice. The final concert marks the first public presentation of this process and invites the audience to take part in the experience of contemporary music creation.
The following works will be presented:
- Francesco Fiorenzani – Atlante Ribelle, for percussion, guitar, double bass
- Alireza Gholamianoghani – Nahā n az nahoft, for solo double bass
