THE INTRUDER
by konstantinos avramis
Second year
Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23, Monday 28 & Tuesday 29 December
Nominated for the first young director’s award by Theatro Technis Karolos Koun, “The Intruder” returns on stage for 4 shows only, this December at PLYFA. A performance about heart transplants, an original dramaturgy that lies in the intersection between the real and the fictional, dreams and medical procedures.
“in order to live, I had to accept someone else’s heart”
Drawing inspiration from the book by Jean-Luc Nancy, and following the thread of the French philosopher’s confessions, the director konstantinos avramis composes a story about the most intimate, the most human exchange: the replacement of a sick heart. How can one learn that their own heart becomes useless? How long does it take to find a compatible donor? And what is the patient dreaming of, while they are sleeping on the surgical table?
“my heart is yours”
Duration: 73 minutes, no intermission
*The performance on Wednesday, 23 December will take place at 21:30.
