sister – blood
Live album showcase
sister (est. 2016) are presenting their new album, blood, which was released in february 2026 on double gatefold vinyl, as well as digitally, via same difference music. blood was painstakingly crafted somewhere between Athens and Tunis, capturing the band’s signature instru/mental sound—as it was first articulated on their debut album untrue (2018, underflow records) through compositions that are both harsher yet more refined
during their live performances, sister transforms into a purely primordial electrified entity that revels in playing loud, pursuing sonic bliss through intensity, repetition, and focus. the band will be performing all seven tracks from their sophomore album blood during their live debut along with a few select tracks from untrue, at the beautiful venue of PLYFA -building 7c-. the trio’s lineup (electric bass, drums, electric guitar) will be expanded to a quartet with the addition of friend and multi-instrumentalist solar panel (Glasgow, UK), who will accompany sister, handling synths and blips and textures, as well as acoustic and electronic percussion.
the evening will kick off with a set from one of the country’s most enigmatic musicians, known for his prolific output both domestically and abroad, in his first exclusive solo performance in many years, where he will be attempting something he has never done before: playing guitar (live & treated) in a short and cohesive set. sound engineering duties for the evening will be handled by giotis paraskevaidis (aux studios)
no earplugs will be provided at the venue. participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own.
the band’s albums and assorted merchandise will be available for purchase at the venue.
