Stella will perform at PLYFA on Saturday, March 4, 2023, in her first long-awaited concert in Athens after the release of her fourth personal album “Up and Away” and after has completed her European tour, which starts on January 15th, with stops in Germany, France and the Netherlands.
The album “Up and Away” was recorded between London and Athens with the English producer Redinho and released in June 2022 on the historic American label Sub Pop! (Record umbrella of Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty, Iron & Wine, Washed Out, Weyes Blood among many others).
Known for her “catchy” melodies, with a continuous upward trajectory, rich in collaborations, concerts and festival appearances in Europe and America, following her first international release, with “The Break” (2020) on Canadian Arbutus Records ( TOPS, Sean Nicholas Savage, Grimes, et al.), and with the promising turn in her sound, Stella is now considered one of the most interesting names in the wider indie-pop international scene.
The concert opens with Westerman – born in South London and now a permanent resident of Athens – who was loved by Perfume Genius for his energetic yet mellow alt-pop.
